Animal Figurines (borosilicate) - 3hr class

Type of glass used: Borosilicate/C.O.E. 33

This class is targeted towards students with some glass experience looking to increase their arsenal of skills. We recommend having taken at least one Beginner Level flameworking course prior to the class date.

Focusing on sculptural works, students will work to expand their knowledge of sculpting with borosilicate to create stunning animal figurines. The specific animal will be decided collaboratively the day of the class.

Students will expand their skills with the practice of many techniques such as; flame control, the use of puntils (glass handles), hot/cold seals and more.

Tools and materials are provided for the class. 

Due to the nature of glass, students will have to return to pick up their finished pieces after they have been annealed.
