Student Information
Please arrive a few minutes before class starts.
We're located at 131 Loretta Ave North and there is street parking nearby.
In preparation for the class, please fill in the online waiver located here. Every participant must fill out this form so if someone is joining you, please forward the link to them. If you’re not able to complete the form online, we will have a printed version at the studio.
For both glass and silversmithing classes, we recommend that you wear close fitting clothing made of natural fibres such as cotton, preferably long sleeves and pants. Avoid wearing loose sleeves, scarves or jewellery. Closed toe shoes are required in every class. Long hair should be tied back. If the weather is cool, it can get quite chilly in the studio so wear a sweater if you get cold easily. If you'd like to take notes during class, please bring a notebook.
Additionally, for silversmithing classes, if you own reading glasses, Optivisors or magnifier hoods, please bring them to class. If you wear contact lenses for distance, it would be beneficial that you not wear them during class to allow for optimal proximal focus.
Glass students: Due to the nature of glass, students will have to return to pick up their finished pieces after they have been cooled slowly in a kiln (annealed). You will be able to pick up your glass objects by appointment, during our gallery open hours or on any subsequent Saturday between 12pm and 5pm.
Classes run with a minimum of 2 students and a maximum of 4 to 6 students.
If you're interested in a class that is not scheduled on our calendar or would like to know more about private lessons or a group class just for you and your friends, email us to let us know.
If the class you were hoping to sign up for is full, please fill out the waitlist form here and we will get back to you if a spot opens up.
Flameworking and silversmithing classes are open to anyone (16+). Students and torch time participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
