Glass Casting With the Use of Alginate - 6-week session, 2.5 hours/week
Regular price
$480.00
Students will learn how to produce life casts from an organic or found object using alginate to create a cast wax positive. Students will have a chance to explore the process of making one-off objects by building their own hand made moulds for a more experimental approach to casting. In this class students will learn how to steam wax out of a mould and prepare it for casting. Once the cast is completed, we will cover a range of cold working, finishing and polishing techniques to finish your art object. Glass Casting from a Clay Relief or equivalent experience are beneficial for this course.
